Horrible Week in the Big Apple

New York, New Ideas
Last week Horrible Brands took a bite out of the Big Apple…and we came back with lots of ideas fuelled by New York energy. Between networking events, workshops and a few unforgettable parties, it was a week that reminded us why we love being part of such a bold, supportive creative community.
From reconnecting with old friends to meeting agency owners from across the globe, New York gave us energy, perspective and a whole lot of inspiration to bring back home.
Highlights That Made It One for the Books
Connecting with the NoBS Network
We caught up with colleagues and made fresh connections across a network of 80+ agency owners. The exchange of ideas, challenges and wins was both honest and energising - exactly what NoBS is all about.
VIP Water Tower Party
Hosted by the incredible Pia Silva, this one was unforgettable. Proof that the best ideas don’t just happen in meeting rooms. Sometimes they’re sparked on rooftops with a skyline view.
Learning from Laura Belgray
As one of the world’s sharpest storytellers, Laura’s session on email trends and content strategy was a masterclass in clarity and cut-through. Expect to see some of those lessons in future Horrible content.
Our Moxy Basecamp
We hosted our weekly meetings from the stylish Moxy Hotel in Brooklyn, because why not mix a bit of boutique New York flair into the routine?
Beyond the Agenda
Of course, it wasn’t all business. We made time to see the sights, soak up the city and grab those all-important photos (sorry not sorry to everyone back home). New York doesn’t just inspire through its people - the streets, the skyline and the energy of the city itself all add fuel to the creative fire.
Networking trips like this are more than a calendar filler. They shape the way we think, plan and deliver. Exchanging stories with other agency owners helps us refine our approach, stay ahead of trends and remind ourselves that every challenge has a dozen different ways to tackle it.
We’re grateful to everyone who shared their insights with us, and we’re already putting ideas into action. New York — we love you!
